Paralegal Copilot: Lewellen Family Law Group’s Access to Justice Program
Document Assistance Made Easy
At our law firm, we are proud to introduce our own access to justice program, “Paralegal Copilot.” This program is designed to provide clients with cost-effective support through our seasoned family law paralegals, who are experienced in document preparation, filing, and service assistance. Our paralegals have a strong desire to help clients not just as the attorneys’ support, but through document assistance and similar limited scope services under the supervision of our attorneys. In response to this call, our firm has developed the “Paralegal Copilot” program to ensure that our clients have options serviced by professionals who love being helpers. The client signs up for “consultation” only with Lewellen Family Law Group and can have our law firm substitute into the case for the limited purpose of filing and service.

Proven Process
Navigating the complexities of family law can be a daunting task. You should be focusing on your life and children, not on how to file and serve documents, and whether or not you have the correct forms and filled them out correctly. Whether you’re dealing with divorce, child custody, or spousal support, having the right legal support is crucial. One effective way to ensure you receive assistance is by working primarily with a family law paralegal supervised by an experienced family law attorney. Here are some of the key benefits of this approach:

We understand that determining what is in the best interest of your child and their custody can be an emotional and difficult time. Our free initial one-hour consultation allows you to get to know our law firm, attorneys, and legal process. We take the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. We offer a free initial consultation rather than charge you because we do not feel the need to charge our potential new clients for learning about our firm and how we can serve them. It is also another small way we can help people who may not be able to afford hiring an attorney.

Working with a paralegal means you have an additional point of contact who is familiar with the details of your case. Our paralegals offer a cost-effective way to answer your non-substantive questions and provide updates, ensuring that you stay informed throughout the legal process. This personalized attention can make a significant difference in your experience, providing you with the support and reassurance you need during a challenging time.

While paralegals are not licensed to practice law, they possess extensive knowledge of legal procedures and family law matters. Under the supervision of an experienced family law attorney, they can provide valuable insights and assistance. This collaborative approach ensures that you benefit from knowing you are engaging a paralegal who was trained by and works with seasoned attorneys.

Our Paralegals Work Diligently for Our Clients and Care About the Outcome
Paralegals play a crucial role in preparing cases for court. They can assist in organizing documents, calendaring and calculating deadlines, data entry, filing, service, and preparing exhibits, which are essential for building a strong case. They also know the local and state procedural rules to help you navigate an often-confusing process.
Qualifications of Our Paralegals
Our paralegals are highly qualified professionals with extensive training and experience in family law. They hold certifications from accredited paralegal programs and/or have undergone rigorous training to ensure they are well-versed in legal procedures and documentation. Additionally, our paralegals continuously update their knowledge through ongoing education and professional development, ensuring they stay current with the latest legal trends and practices. This dedication to excellence ensures that our clients receive top-notch support throughout their legal journey.
