Christina D. McAmis is an accomplished attorney based in the firm’s office in Sacramento, CA. She is licensed in New Mexico and her admission to the California State Bar is pending after she successfully passed the State’s rigorous Bar Exam. With a distinguished legal career spanning appeals, family law, intellectual property law, franchise law, and estate planning, Christina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Lewellen Family Law Group.

A graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, Christina earned her Juris Doctor with Great Distinction, receiving multiple academic honors, including the prestigious Witkin Awards in Torts and Settlements & Negotiations, and she graduated in the top 3 of her class.

Christina began her California legal journey as an extern for the Honorable Consuelo Callahan of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she honed her legal research and appellate drafting skills. She also served as a research assistant for Professor Levine and Professor Mireles at McGeorge School of Law. She also served as an extern to the Honorable Vicki Ashworth, a judge with the Eldorado County Superior Court, with a focus on family and community property law.

Christina later served as a partner at Shelton Law & Associates, managing the firm’s intellectual property practice and spearheading national educational seminars on franchise and trademark law. She also led legal teams, created firm growth strategies, and navigated the complexities of business and regulatory law. Most recently, Christina served as an attorney at Donahue Fitzgerald, LLP, where she handled sophisticated trademark prosecution, settlement agreements, and legal counsel on intellectual property and franchise law. Her expertise in federal regulations, franchise disclosure documents, and estate planning further demonstrates her versatile legal acumen, handling complex areas of legal analysis.

Beyond her legal practice, Christina is a dedicated mentor and advocate. She has served as a survivorship speaker with Leslie’s Week Organization, sharing her family’s journey and providing mentorship for individuals facing life’s challenges. She also played a key role on the Board of Directors for Gypsy Magic Equine Outreach, contributing to fundraising, outreach, and community support. She was also a former member of the U.S. National Training Team in Gymnastics, with multiple National Titles earned between 1988 and 1992, and was the National Champion Power Tumbler Jr. Elite in 1991. Needless to say, Christina has grit, dedication to excellence, and determination hardwired into her affable nature.
